Configuration guide

How working area affects your marking configuration

Field lens selection is about part coverage, energy density and positioning—not just a larger number.

Match the field to the part

A field lens defines the available marking area. The standard fiber package is listed at 100 × 100 mm; the standard UV and CO₂ packages are listed at 110 × 110 mm. Alternate packages appear in the configurator.

Larger is not automatically better

Changing the field changes focusing and energy density. A larger working area can require different process parameters, and the entire usable field should be tested for the required result.

Check the complete optical package

Fiber, UV and CO₂ optics are not interchangeable. The CO₂ options include the lens, beam expander and combiner arrangement described in the configuration. Confirm mechanical fit and source compatibility before selecting a replacement.

Include the fixture

Flat parts may need a worktable or locating fixture. Cylindrical parts may need a rotary axis. Include part height, diameter and marking orientation in the inquiry so the optics and workholding can be evaluated together.
